I'm excited to join this meme (a day early!) this week.  A few days ago I purchased a 50mm f1.4 portrait lens for my Canon camera.  I've been prowling around snapping shots and getting used to shooting with it.  The bokeh is amazing!

I "spotted" this bowl of tomatoes on my counter.  Actually, I've walked by it and worked around it every day for a few weeks, and the tomatoes are starting to turn red.  Garden tomatoes in November!  Who would have thought??

That BUGS Me!

The thing about owning a macro lens is that whenever I see an insect, I run back inside for my camera.  Silly, I know...

I almost nailed this spider when I reached in to pick some green beans which are still growing on the vines.  I was able to pick all around him, and got another bowl full of beans for the freezer.

Then, while I was shooting the spider, I heard the familiar buzz of a creature that, in man's scientific understanding, shouldn't be able to fly.

I love bumblebees, as long as they don't land on me.
